We support other charities through volunteering and practical collaboration.

We encourage healthier lifestyles by providing activities that improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing while reducing loneliness and strengthening community connections.

We deliver workshops and training that help people develop digital confidence, improve employability, prepare CVs, build interview skills, manage personal finances and gain practical life skills that increase independence.

Christian Ministry

Our Christian faith continues to shape our values and the way we serve others. We offer prayer meetings, Bible study, pastoral support, Christian counselling and outreach for those who wish to participate. Faith activities are always optional, and everyone is welcome to access our community services regardless of their beliefs.

We also hold events for various Family Passel groups. This ranges from youth events to expectant parent conferences and women of prayer.

We provide pastoral support and Christian counselling for families and young people, including prayer by consent and encouragement.

Our History

Family Passel began in 2015 as a small Christian ministry with a simple vision: to bring people together through prayer, encouragement and practical care.

Founded by Evangelist Datonye Abrah-Adjei, A.K.A Esther, the ministry started with online prayer meetings and Christian fellowship using a conference telephone line. As more people joined, Family Passel grew into an active online community where individuals and families could find spiritual encouragement, friendship and support during difficult times.

Over the years, the organisation expanded beyond online ministry into community outreach, recognising that many people also needed practical help alongside emotional and spiritual support. This led to the development of projects that promote wellbeing, education, employability, digital inclusion and stronger community connections.

Today, Family Passel is a registered UK charity working across Essex and East London. We support children, young people, adults and families through practical community programmes, volunteering, training, healthy living initiatives and wellbeing activities, while continuing to offer Christian ministry for those who wish to participate.

Although our work has grown and developed, our purpose remains the same: to serve people with compassion, integrity and hope. We believe lasting change happens when people feel valued, supported and empowered to build brighter futures for themselves, their families and their communities.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to working with local communities, volunteers, charities, businesses and public organisations to create opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities for generations to come.
